Among its key developments is the Dry Port, a crucial project faced with a unique challenge: the relentless shifting sands of the surrounding desert.

The extensive size and location of the Dry Port means that large expanses of terrain around the asphalt areas and truck depot are covered by loose, mobile sands. To address this challenge, AggreDust was introduced as a groundbreaking solution, designed not just to manage and stabilize desert sands – protecting the foundation of the perimeter fence and essential traffic areas.

Unlike traditional applications on compacted road bases, the loose, dune-like foundation presented a complex challenge requiring an innovative stabilization approach.

AggreDust was the ideal solution for the project, enabling rapid stabilization across vast areas – up to 18,000 square meters per day. This efficiency not only accelerated the process but also ensured immediate protection against shifting sands.

The solution also reduced the need for costly, ongoing maintenance, such as road sweeping to remove infiltrated sands from truck routes.

Additionally, AggreDust acts as a protective barrier, preventing sand from damaging machinery, reducing maintenance costs, and extending equipment lifespan. Importantly, it enhances the health and safety of site workers by minimizing dust inhalation.

It exemplifies how modern technology can address age-old challenges while ensuring cost savings, efficiency, and a safer work environment.

AggreDust’s success in this project is a testament to its transformative impact, not only in desert environments but in safeguarding various terrains worldwide. Beyond stabilising shifting sands, AggreDust effectively protects non-stabilized soils prone to wind and rain erosion, fortifying terrains lacking compacted bases. This versatile solution is essential for preventing environmental degradation, erosion, and silt runoff, ensuring the longevity of infrastructure and the well-being of workers.
